The siding began to melt off the house due to the extreme heat.

WARSAW — At approximately 2 p.m., Leesburg Fire and Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory were dispatched to a fire in the area of 369 West Woodland Drive, Warsaw.

It was originally believed to be a large house fire due to the amount of smoke. But upon arrival, emergency responders discovered that a line of trees was on fire near the house. The trees were in such close proximity to the house that they melted the siding and the utility box.

No injuries were reported in the fire, but one resident was checked by EMS.

This line of trees was the reason for the large amount of smoke seen in the area.
