Craig, Whitko Quartet Featured In TRC Baseball

WABASH – Whitko landed four on the All-Three Rivers Conference baseball team for the 2017 season, while Alec Craig led the way for Tippecanoe Valley.

The historic run to semi-state for the Wildcats had pitcher Drew Bradford, catcher Zach Hewitt, infielder Landon Goff and outfielder Alex Bechtold all earn All-TRC honors while Alex Robbins was named to the Honorable Mention All-TRC list.

Tippecanoe Valley had one make the All-TRC list in Craig, who was tabbed as an infielder but also served as a pitcher for the club. Adam Myers was given Honorable Mention All-TRC honors for the Vikings.

Conference champion Peru had pitcher Sean Smith, catcher Nathan Brimbury, infielder Kasey Comp and outfielders Nate Krisher and Duante Majors named All-TRC and Lucas McConahay as Honorable Mention All-TRC.

Rounding out the All-TRC were pitchers Hayes Strutsman of Manchester, Blake Harner of Northfield and Ethan Larason of Maconaquah, catcher Kallen Kelsheimer of Wabash, infielders David McAtee of Manchester, Carson Blair of Southwood, Kory Fuller and Kaleb Kelsheimer of Wabash, Trevor Linn of North Miami and Brady Perez of Rochester, and outfielders Matt Coe of Northfield, Shane Holden of North Miami, and Zach Ball and Matt Cox of Southwood. Zaine Young of Rochester and Matthew Stewart of North Miami were listed as All-TRC ‘Extra Players’.

Honorable Mention All-TRC were given to Kane Gable of Manchester, Jared Holley of Wabash, Sam Burcroff of Northfield, Gabe Lloyd of Southwood, Cody Koebler of Maconaquah, Garrett Bahney of North Miami and Carter Hooks of Rochester.
