Local Liquor And Grocery Stores Receive Liquor Permit Renewals

WARSAW — Several local grocery and liquor stores were approved for the renewal of their liquor licenses at the monthly Alcoholic Beverage Board meeting June 1.

Those approved for renewal were:

  • G&M Package Store, Inc., doing business as Beef’s Booze Barn, 100 N. Huntington St., Syracuse. Beer, wine and liquor, package store.
  • Service Liquors, Inc., 108 S. Lake St., Warsaw. Beer, wine and liquor, package store.
  • Kroger Limited Partnership, doing business as Owens, 2211 E. Center St., Warsaw. Beer, wine and liquor, drug store.
  • Martin’s Super Markets, Inc., 1150 Husky Trail, Warsaw. Beer, wine and liquor, drug store.
  • Scott’s Package Liquors, Inc., doing business as Pierceton Discount Liquors, 101 S. First St., Pierceton. Beer, wine and liquor, package store.

There were also approved transfers of ownership:

  • Lagos Steakhouse, LLC, doing business as Jimmy’s Restaurant, 104 W. Himes St., North Webster. Owner Stephanie Bonilla was present for the approval of the beer retailer license.
  • Lucky Daisy, Inc., doing business as Yamato Steakhouse of Japan, 101 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Limin Zhao was present for the approval of a transfer of a beer and wine retailer permit. This matter had been continued from last month.

One permit was continued to next month: Stella’s of Warsaw, 918 N. Detroit St., failed to post their notice of transfer where the public could see it. The matter will continue next month on July 6.
