MENTONE — Mentone had a successful Memorial Day Service on Sunday, May 28, at Mentone Cemetery.

The Burket Boy Scout Troop 782 carried in the flags and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Ken Locke was the guest speaker for the ceremony. The local American Legion performed a flag folding ceremony along with a 21 gun salute. 

The Tippecanoe Valley Band played several patriotic songs throughout the ceremony.  Rev. Jason Rice performed the Invocation and Benediction. A list of names of local veterans who have served in wars was also read during the ceremony.
