AKRON — Tippecanoe Valley Schools has announced the Class of 2017 Valedictorian and Salutatorian.

Valedictorian

Jared Mikel, son of Stacy and Spencer Mikel, is the TVHS Class of 2017 Valedictorian. Jared plans to attend Purdue and major in aeronautical engineer. Jared will be graduating with a 12.06 GPA.

Salutatorian

Riley Weitzel, son of Eric Weitzel (Patricia Weitzel) and Patty Terrel (Robby Terrel), is the TVHS Class of 2017 Salutatorian. Riley plans to attend Ivy Tech to major in computer science and obtain his CNC Programming certificate. Riley may later transfer to Purdue to continue his computer science education. Riley will be graduating with a 12.043 GPA.

Graduation is on Sunday, June 4. The north doors to the main Tippecanoe Valley High School gym will open at 1 p.m. Baccalaureate will begin at 2 p.m. Graduation will begin promptly at 2:45 p.m.
