SYRACUSE — The North Webster Lionesses participated in the Wawasee High School Honors Program on Wednesday night, May 17.

Scholarships in the amount of $500 were presented to Haleigh Smarr and Madison Fisher.

Scholarships in the amount of $250 were presented to Jonas Clayton and Laura Stump earlier in the month.

The North Webster Lionesses are dedicated to providing funds for the betterment of the North Webster Community.

Donations are made throughout the year to non-profit organizations that benefit the community.

The organization is responsible for the Mermaid Festival Cutie Contest, Queen’s Contest, the Fall Bazaar, the North Webster Community Christmas Program, dictionaries for third graders, Valentines for Vets, support for the North Webster Community Center and several other activities in the community.

Membership in the organization is open to anyone interested in serving the community.
