Brett Hanes, 33, Nappanee, died at 2:52 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Goshen Hospital.

Brett was born May 5, 1983 to Randy and Debrah (Duncan) Hanes in Elkhart. He attended NorthWood High School.  He enjoyed playing guitar and loved his son.

Brett is survived by his son, Bryson Hanes, Nappanee; parents, Randy and Debrah Hanes, Nappanee; brothers, Aaron Hanes, Nathan (Anita) Hanes, both of Nappanee; sister Courtney (fiancé Michael Piercy) Hanes, Etna Green; and grandma, Rowena  Duncan, Nappanee.

Family and friends may call from 10 a.m.–1 p.m., Saturday, March 25, followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.  Burial will follow at Union Center Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Brett Hanes Memorial Fund to help with funeral expenses.
