Officers with the Kosciusko Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

8:30 a.m. Friday, March 17, Patterson Road, east of North Parker Street, Warsaw. Driver: James M. Smith, 35, North CR 400E, Warsaw. Smith’s vehicle slid on ice, striking the curb on the left side of the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.

8:49 a.m. Friday, March 17, East Old Road 30, east of South CR 325E, Warsaw. Driver: Amanda J. Lease, 29, North Lake Street, Warsaw. Lease lost control on the ice covered road and slid into an embankment. Damage up to $5,000.

Winona Lake

Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:

9:28 a.m. Friday, March 17, East Pierceton Road, east of East Wade Street, Winona Lake. Driver: Kelly A. Whitaker, 39, West Jackson Street, Bourbon. Whitaker lost control of her vehicle and left the roadway, striking a mail box and damaging a lawn. Damage up to $2,500.
