NorthWood Basketball: Panthers Hand Out Awards
NAPPANEE – The NorthWood girls basketball program handed out awards for its 2016-17 season Tuesday night.
The duo of senior Taitlyn Trenshaw and junior Savannah Feenstra earned Co-Most Valuable Player honors for coach Adam Yoder’s squad.
The duo of sophomore Mackenzie Bergman and freshman Madison Payne shared Co-Most Improved Player accolades. The trio of seniors Taitlyn Trenshaw, Nicole Flickinger and Erin Graber were tabbed Co-Captains.
Graber also earned the Mental Attitude Award and Feenstra the Rebounding Award. Bergman took home the Free Throw Award, while sophomore Neely Trenshaw and Flickinger earned Defensive Awards.
The duo of Taitlyn Trenshaw and Feenstra were also honored for being first-team, All-NLC selections and Bergman for being an honorable mention choice to the all-league team.
The Black Swish finished 16-10 overall and 4-3 in the Northern Lakes Conference this season.
