Dale E. Bules, 90, of Bourbon, Ind., passed away at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home of Plymouth, Ind., with family by his side.

Dale was born the son of Marvin Bules and Carrie Flory Bules at Etna Green, Ind., on March 31, 1922. He was a lifelong resident of the Bourbon area and a graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School class of 1940. He was a lifelong farmer and a faithful member of Mount Pleasant Church of the Brethren until its closing and transferred his membership to Plymouth Church of the Brethren.

He joined in marriage to Velma P. Bules on Jan. 30, 1944. She proceeded in death Oct. 26, 2010, of which they shared over 65 years together. Their marriage created a wonderful family who he leaves behind that includes their five children: Rachel (Richard) Weik, Middletown, Pa.; Karen (Allen) Bules, Oak Park, Ill.; Diane (Max) Zolman, Knoxville, Tenn.; Stan (Carol) Bules, Bourbon; and Mark (Cindy) Bules, Rolling Prairie, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and his sister: Arlene Sullivan, Bloomington, Ind.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Lucille Cave; and a brother: Harold Bules.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon. The family will also receive friends for one hour before the services at the church, which will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Plymouth Church of the Brethren, 1130 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, with Pastor Ruth Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Bourbon.
