WINONA LAKE – Chandler Elliott of the Grace College women’s softball team was awarded the NCCAA National Pitcher of the Week award on Tuesday.

Elliott posted a 1.27 ERA in 11.0 innings last week, throwing parts of two games on the same day. 

She pitched a complete game against Cornerstone to get the win, yielding only four hits and one earned run in a narrow 4-3 victory.

Later that day, she allowed just one earned run to plate in four innings against No. 15 Davenport. Opponents hit just .154 against Elliott in those two games.

Elliott is a junior right-hander who hails from Martinsville.

The Lady Lancers are currently in Clermont, Fla., as part of the team’s spring break trip.
