NAPPANEE —The Northwood Middle School swim team started off the season with a loss for the girls and boys team to a very tough Elkhart East team at home last night.

With a small, unseasoned team, there were many fine individual times recorded for many of the swimmers on the team with first place finishes by: Hope Brown in 100 Freestyle, Christian Cervantes in 50 Freestyle and 25 Butterfly, Madison Weaver in 50 Freestyle and 50 Backstroke, Wes Steiner in 25 Freestyle and 25 Backstroke, Kane Bellman in 100 Freestyle, Elle Roberts in 50 Breaststroke, Grace Frye in 25 Breaststroke, and the 100 Freestyle Relay team of Kane Bellman, Austin Miller, Wes Steiner, and Christian Cervantes.

The next meet will be this Thursday at 5:00 P.M. at Goshen Middle School against Goshen and Wawasee.
