WARSAW — Social studies teachers at both Lakeview and Edgewood middle schools have spent the past few months reviewing many textbooks in great detail in order to select the best resource for our students.

Also presented were science materials that have been piloted at the elementary level over the past few years. This approach to science combines modules from two different companies, providing a very interactive, hand-on approach to science. All selections were presented to the Curriculum Council on Feb. 16, where the council voted unanimously in favor of the materials chosen.

The school corporation would like to invite the public to come in and review these middle school social studies and elementary science selections before they go before the school board for approval in March. The items will be available for review at Warsaw Community Schools’ central administration offices located at 1 Administration Drive in Warsaw, directly next to Warsaw Community High School from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
