Grace Baseball: Baker Honored By Conference
WINONA LAKE – Austin Baker represented the Grace College baseball team when he was named the Crossroads League Player of the Week on Monday.
Baker enjoyed a dominant week at the plate for the Lancers. The junior hit .636 for the week, including a game at NCAA Div. I Western Michigan.
He ripped off seven hits and eight RBIs in three games, adding two homers. In a game against Cleary on Friday, he batted 4-for-4 with 2 doubles, 2 home runs and 8 RBIs. He was also hit 3-for-4 against Western Michigan’s pitching on Wednesday.
The Lancers travel south for spring break, playing six teams at historic Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Fla., from March 5-11.
