Child Porn Possession Nets 6 Years

A Goshen man was sentenced to 6 years in prison and 5 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography.

Stephen Sachs, 52, was sentenced this week by U.S. Northern District Court Judge Robert Miller Jr. According to documents filed by the government, law enforcement obtained a search warrant for Sachs’ home and seized all computers and electronic storage devices in the residence.

Stored on the devices was a total of 10,149 digital still images and 55 videos for a total of 14,274 images. The case resulted from an investigation by members of the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force which includes the United States Secret Service and the Elkhart County Police Department.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John Maciejczyk.
