MARION – Nate Walpole was up to his old tricks again, dropping 40 points and a bunch of work on Eastbrook Saturday afternoon. The senior’s efforts pushed Whitko to an 84-58 win over the hosts in boys basketball.

Walpole, who is averaging 26.8 points per game this season, added seven boards, five dimes and two steals in the all-around game.

River West also had the hot hand, dropping in 20 points to go with 10 rebounds and five assists. Spencer Sroufe added 12 points and a pair of rebounds and Collin Craig added 10 boards.

Whitko moves to 10-7 on the season with a date Tuesday at Southern Wells.
