WARSAW –  The Warsaw girls basketball program presented a check Thursday  to Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund representative Jennifer Stewart after this year’s fund-raising game brought in an impressive $3,001 for the organization.

The program has held a special event for nearly a decade in efforts to raise money for the KCCCF, organized and directed by the coaching staff.
“One area we emphasize with student-athletes is the importance of giving and providing service to others,”  Warsaw girls basketball assistant coach Bryon Weinstein said.  “It’s a special event for our players, their families, and many in the community.
“We could not do this without the support and donations from several businesses as well as the efforts of the parents that provide bake sale items.  We are blessed to have the opportunity to help this organization and the families they serve.”
