WARSAW — The Board of Zoning Appeals held a brief meeting Monday, Jan. 23, approving the only appeal that was submitted.

The board members reviewed a request by Anthony McCrovitz, owner of Globe Star. The applicant’s property was granted an original use variance in 2004 of one free standing, non-lit sign with a maximum of 16 sq. ft.  The property is located within the overlay district along Center Street. McCrovitz requested a variance from the R-2 developmental standard to place a 12 sq. ft. non-lit sign with a height of 4 ft.

Justin Taylor, assistant city planner, stated there would be no traffic visibility obstruction due to the sign.

Jeff Johnson made a motion to approve the variance for Globe Star, and the motion was approved.
