WARSAW — At approximately 8:40 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23 emergency responders were dispatched to an semi, car accident at US 30 and CR 150W, Warsaw.

Lutheran EMS, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Winona Lake Fire and Warsaw Police responded to the accident. Heavy extraction was necessary to remove the victim from the car. The victim was reported unconscious when first responders arrived on scene. The driver of the semi was uninjured.

Dispatch attempted to call a helicopter for the victim, but due to the fog Lutheran Air was unable to respond.

The westbound lane of US 30 is completely closed and the eastbound lane is down to one lane until the accident is cleaned up.
