Sheriff’s Deputy In Stable Condition After Early Morning Accident

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Deputies responded to the area of Loon Lake in the southern portion of the county at approximately 5:28 a.m. in regards to a potentially intoxicated driver with the vehicle stuck in a yard.

After two deputies had arrived on scene, radio communication was lost with the officers. Deputy Sheriff Lou Mediano had just come on-duty and was responding to the last location of the officers when his vehicle left the roadway in a curve at county roads 900S and 675W.

Deputy Mediano was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital with a laceration to his head. He is conscious and in stable/good condition.
