
Brooks Butler, 65, Warsaw, passed away at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 in his residence.
On March 20, 1951, he was born in Warsaw, to Frank C. and Barbara Joan (Norris) Butler. He was united in marriage to Angie Norris on Sept. 9, 1989 in Warsaw, who survives.
Brooks lived in Dyer until he graduated from Lake Central High School. He then moved back to Warsaw where he worked as a tool and die maker for Zimmer Inc., for forty years, retiring in 2010. He then worked for Tecomet, Warsaw part-time.
He was a member of Kosko Shotgun Sports Complex, Warsaw; Harley Owners Group; A.B.A.T.E., Kosciusko County and American Legion Post #49, Warsaw. He loved trap and skeet shooting and was a motorcycle enthusiast and he enjoyed working on them.
Brooks is survived by his wife, Angie Butler, Warsaw; two sons, Brian M. (and spouse Dawn) Butler, New Palestine; and Brad A. (and spouse Bobbie) Butler, Warsaw; his brother, Bruce C. (and spouse Jane) Butler, Warsaw; two sisters, Marcia A. Buckley, Warsaw and Franky (and spouse Peter) Voss, Muncie; five grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Brianna, Austin all of Warsaw and Emily, New Palestine.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1–5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Private burial will be at a later date.
