Marjorie M. Kleinknight Cox, 99, Goshen, formerly Syracuse, passed away at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.

She was born on May 2, 1917 in Uniondale to Van A. and Clellah (Cupp) Barrick.

She grew up in Ossian and graduated in 1935 from Ossian High School. On August 30, 1935 in Angola, IN she married Edwin A. “Ed” Kleinknight who preceded her in 1971 and in 1974 to J. Barton Cox who preceded her in 1975. She lived in Angola, Syracuse, and Fort Wayne before moving to Goshen in 2005. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Gamble’s store in Warsaw.

She was a former member of the St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Syracuse and occasionally attended the 1st United Methodist Church in Goshen.

She was survived by her daughter, Suzanne Lisor of Goshen; two grandsons; two great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two sons: Robert E. and Max A. Kleinknight; granddaughter: Lori Kleinknight; grandson: Ken Lisor; two sisters: Lillian Mahnensmith and Rosella White; brother: Max Barrick; and companion, Burl Feltenberger.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Monday, Jan. 23 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at noon Monday in the funeral home with Pastor’s Ed and Brenda Fritz of the First United Methodist Church in Goshen officiating. Burial will follow in Syracuse Cemetery.
