Johnnie Lee Shaw
Johnnie Lee Shaw, 50, Rochester, died at 6:30 a.m. Jan. 16, 2017 at his residence in Rochester where he had been in declining health the past couple of months.
He was born on June 21, 1966 in Rensselaer to Delos J. Shaw and Donna C. (Brown) Shaw. He has lived in the Rochester Community for the past 19 years, having lived in Arizona before that.
On June 24, 1989 in Rensselaer, he married Jennifer S. (Arnett) Shaw and together they have shared the past 27 years. He was an Executive Assistant Manager with Wal-Greens at Rochester, Rensselaer and other locations. John was a member of the Parkside Community Church, Argos.
He was an avid football fan rooting for the Washington Redskins and the Detroit Lions, along with Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
John loved Star Wars and Contemporary Christian Music.
John is survived by his wife, Jenny S. Shaw, Rochester; his feline friend, Baxter; step-father, Garner Wireman of Rensselaer; brother, Garner Wireman Jr. and wife Danielle of Lapel; sister, Darlene Chambers and husband Ron of Lafayette; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Shaw.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m.-noon, Thursday, Jan. 19 at the Parkside Community Church, 225 S. Michigan St., Argos. Funeral services will follow Thursday, church with Rev. Brian Trump officiating. Burial will follow at the Sand Hill Cemetery, Rochester.
