Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:

7:14 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, North Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Paul W. Steele, 25, East Wawonaissa Drive, Syracuse. Severe winds caused a trash can to blow into the road in front of Steele’s vehicle as he was driving and he was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting the trash can. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

8:54 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, Dubois Drive, east of North Harrison Street. Driver: Patricia A. Slone, 75, Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Slone was driving east on Dubois Drive when her vehicle struck a patch of ice on the road, causing the vehicle to spin out and leave the roadway. Slone’s vehicle went into a ditch. Damage up to $10,000.
