Robert Allen Walter, 86, Bremen, passed away at 7:05 a.m., Monday, Jan. 9, 2017 in Signature Health Care of Bremen.

Bob was born April 21, 1930, the son of the late Dewey and Mildred (Bowser) Walter. In August of 1953, he married Joan Odiorne. She passed away on July 4, 2003.

Along with his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by a grandson, Wesley Walter.

Bob is survived by four children: Cindy Walter of Bremen; Robert L. (Joni) Walter of Nappanee; Paul (Patty) Walter of Bremen; and Randy (Kendra) Walter of Ora; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by siblings: Tom (Dorothy) Walter of Bremen; and Josephine (Lyle) Lavine of Plymouth.

Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a former Boy Scout Leader and member of Kiwanis.

Visitation will be held from noon-2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Bremen Cemetery.
