Swimmers Fall To Concord
The Warsaw boys and girls swim teams wrapped up regular-season conference action with losses to visiting Concord.
The Minutemen won the boys meet by a 105-78 final.
Nick Zogbi won the 200 IM in a time of 2:07.97 and captured first place in the 100 backstroke in a winning time of 59.88 to pace the host Tigers.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Zogbi, Alex Cook, Evan Borchers and Hudson Snyder took first in a top effort of 3:28.21.
The Warsaw boys team, which drops to 8-2 overall and finishes 5-2 in NLC action, will host Culver Academies on Jan. 17.
Concord posted a 130-56 win in the girls’ portion of the league meet.
Brenna Morgan was the lone winner for the hosts as the Warsaw standout took top honors in the 50 freestyle in 25.22 and captured first in the 100 freestyle in time of 55.01.
The Warsaw girls move to 7-2 overall and finish at 5-2 in league competition.
The Warsaw ladies will compete in the NLC Meet on Thursday and Saturday at Northridge.
JV Wrestlers Compete
The junior varsity grapplers competed in the Northfield Invitational.
The duo of Austin Brown and Brock Hueber led the way as each went 2-1 on the day with a pair of wins by pins.
Gaven Truex was 2-1 with a tech fall and a major decision. Max Bradley was also 2-1 and Chris McAfoose was 1-2 for the JV Tigers.
Warsaw returns to action on Thursday with a conference match at Goshen.
