Goble, Jerry obit photoJerry Goble, 57, of Tippecanoe, Ind., passed away at 1:43 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Vibra Hospital of Fort Wayne, Ind.

He worked for Dalton Foundries in Warsaw, Ind., for 30 years, and was a member of Grace Outreach in Tippecanoe.

Jerry was born on Sept. 18, 1955, in Floyd County, Ky., to Argie Goble and Lucille (Burchett) Thomas. He was married in Clintwood, Va., on April 16, 1977, to Debbie Sherman, who survives in Tippecanoe.

He is also survived by his son: Jerry (Michelle) Goble, Warsaw; one daughter: Amanda (James) Scarberry, Bourbon, Ind.; and four grandchildren: Lyda and Ayden Scarberry and Lucas and Abby Goble; four brothers: Kennith (Dinah) Goble, Tippecanoe; Johnnie (Loranna) Goble, Pierceton, Ind.; Billy Joe (Rhonda) Goble, Warsaw; and Roy (Kay) Thomas, Etna Green, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father: Galen Thomas; and his sister: Virginia Hall.

His visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Redpath- Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at the funeral home and officiated by Pastors Bob Haywood, Bob Brown, Luther Bailey and Larrie Kreft. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Cemetery, in Tippecanoe.
