WARSAW — With cases of hepatitis C on the rise, Positive Resource Connection has begun offering free testing at the Kosciusko County Health Department.
PRC has been offering testing in Kosciusko for over 15 years. While free HIV testing has been available, the rise in hepatitis has inspired the company to offer free hepatitis C testing. This is made possible by a grant from the K21 Health Foundation.
With the use of needles and needle sharing on the rise, it is vital for individuals to know if they are infected to reduce risks. Needle sharing is not the only way to contract hepatitis C or HIV, but it does increase the risk.
PRC offers testing at the Kosciusko County Health Department, located in the K21 Health Services Pavilion at 1515 Provident Dr., Warsaw, from 1:15 – 4 p.m. on the first Monday of every month.
