MIDDLEBURY – The Edgewood seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams competed in the Northridge Tournament on Saturday. Both teams were crowned champions of the tournament.

The seventh grade defeated East Noble in the first game, 43-16. Jackson Elliott had 12 points, Jackson Dawson had nine points, and Isaiah Courtois and Sami Smith added six points each. In the championship, Edgewood played Northridge. ending in a 44-25 Edgewood ‘ship. Smith led the way with 11 points, Elliott and Will Burnett each had eight points and Dawson added seven points.

The eighth grade also took on East Noble in the opening game, winning 44-17. Mason Martz had 10 points and Bishop Walters put in eight points as the Tigers had nine players in the scoring column the game. In the championship, the Tigers played Northridge and rolled to the title, 41-20. Brock Poe dropped in 12 points, Luke Adamiec had 10 points and Walters added eight points.
