Phyllis J. Rankin, 90, Winamac, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Culver.

She was born on April 3, 1926 in Mason City, IL to the late Carl B. Loris and Burdene (Parr) Null. On Dec. 1, 1946, she married Richard G. Rankin in Pekin, Ill. Richard died Aug. 23, 1983.

Phyllis enjoyed walking and watching TV. She also enjoyed fishing trips with her family. Phyllis loved her pets. She and her husband had been owners of the Crossroads Market at SR14 and SR39 in Winamac.

She is survived by her children: Sandra (James) Smith, Plymouth; Suzann Smith, Plymouth; Gerald “Jerry” (Alice) Rankin, Winamac; many grandchildren and great grandchildren survive as well as six sisters and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Rankin, her parents, and her grandson Jerry Joe Rankin; a brother and a sister all preceded her.

 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

Funeral Services will held at noon Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac with Rev. Edward Clark officiating.

Burial will take place at Winamac Cemetery in Winamac, IN.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Foundation.

Arrangments have been entrust to Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.
