WARSAW — There are plenty of ways to get into the holiday spirit in and around Warsaw. These are a few of the activities being hosted by the Warsaw Parks Department throughout month of December.

“Letters From Santa” began Nov. 14 and will continue through Dec. 12.  The cost is $2 per letter. The forms can be found here or picked up at their office at 117 E. Canal St., from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Central Park holiday light display will be lit for the first time during “Light Up the Night”, a free event taking place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2. This display features over 200,000 lights. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be riding in the Twinkle Parade at First Friday and will arrive at the park at 7:30 p.m.

Christmas Countdown will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9. This is another free event at Center Lake Pavilion. Santa will make a special appearance at this event, which also offers crafts, hot cocoa, cookies and music. Bring your camera for pictures with Santa.
