Barbara G. McFadden, 81, North Manchester, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

She was born Jan. 25, 1935 in Chicago to Raymond and Kathryn (Eller) Peters. She married Ralph McFadden June 11, 1955. She then married Ralph Royer on April 26, 2006. He died Oct. 14, 2012.

She was a teacher of home economics and English, counseled youth in several capacities and enjoyed working in both the SERRV shop in Elgin and at Show of Hands in Denver. It was in these capacities she was able to show her talent and love for art and design. Barbara was also an accomplished organist and pianist. She was member of Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester.

She is survived by her son, Joel (Laura) McFadden, Thornton, Colo.; her daughter, Jill (Anne Tapp) McFadden, Boulder, Colo.; brother, Bentley (Helen Gudeman) Peters, Glenwood, Minn.; and one grandchild.

Services will be at a later date.
