ridley-brownRidley Lee Brown, 85, Warsaw, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, in Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.

On May 26, 1931, Ridley was born in Baxter, Tenn., to Ridley L. and Armentia (Ritenbury) Brown Sr. and stepmother Osca Davis. He was united in marriage to Jaunita Campbell on July 1, 1950, in Warsaw.

In 1949, Ridley came to the Warsaw area. Ridley retired from Huffer Foundry, Warsaw, and was a member at God’s Highway to Heaven, Warsaw.

Ridley is survived by his two sons: Bob (Tanya) Brown, Warsaw; John (Rita) Brown, Warsaw; his sister: Marie (Opris) Flatt, Baxter, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two sons: Jerry; and Larry Brown; five sisters: Mamie Whitaker; Alice Whitaker; Ivy McBroom; Vergie Robinson; Eva Jackson; and a great-grandson: Griffin Douglas.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw, with Reverend Bob Brown and Reverend Don Chadwick officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Silver Lake.

Visitation hours will be held from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, at the church.
