Franks will give everyone ideas on substitutions that people can make in traditional holiday recipes for a healthier twist. She will bring a dish to sample. There will be door prizes given away at the end of the program. If you would like to learn how you can make your holiday dishes healthier, plan to attend. The program will be an hour long. Everyone is invited. Please call (574) 658-4312 beginning Monday, Nov. 14 to reserve a spot.

AFTERNOON KNITTING CLUB
Would you like to learn to knit? The Afternoon Knitting Club meets on Fridays, Dec. 2 and 16, and is looking for new members. Being able to create something from yarn and two needles is really fun and relaxing. The core knitters have many years of experience and would love to be able to help you learn a new hobby that you can enjoy your whole life. If you are interested in attending, please join the group in the teen area of the library on Friday.

IVY TECH PROGRAM
Plan to attend the library’s first Ivy Tech Meet and Greet Program at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, Kathy Kurosky, associate director of admissions, will be presenting a program filled with information about Ivy Tech. What do you really know about community college? Are you considering going to college? Are you concerned about how to pay for your education? Kurosky will have information that will help answer your questions and make a good decision for your future. Whether you are graduating from high school in the spring or heading back to school after many years in the work force, Ivy Tech has something for you.

TEEN BOOK CLUB
The teen book club, grades 6 through 12, is meeting from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, to watch the movie based on the first discussion book, “The Maze Runner,” by James Dasher. Remember, this is earlier than the normal meeting time to accommodate for the length of the movie. Snacks will be provided! Bring your friends and enjoy a good movie based on a great book. There will also be a discussion on the next book to be read together.

LEGO CREW
Do you enjoy creating all kinds of things with building blocks? Children ages five and up will have a great time exercising their imaginations and building with our LEGO blocks. LEGO CREW meets the second Saturday of every month from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Meet new friends and spend some time together doing something low tech.

ADULT CRAFT NIGHT
Adult Craft Night returns at 6:30 p.m.  Monday, Dec. 12, Kelly Engle, local crafter, will be back with another fun and simple holiday craft. Watch for more details and a sample craft displayed on the adult desk. Whatever is made, those attending will have a good time and a beautiful completed craft at the end of the evening.

REINDEER VISIT
You don’t have to go to the North Pole to spot a reindeer! Come to the Milford Community Building Thursday, Dec. 15, to meet and interact with a reindeer. This free event is open to everyone. One of Santa’s elves will accompany the reindeer and several other animals who live at the North Pole. After the program, get your picture with the reindeer for a special holiday memory.
