BREMEN – NorthWood opened up its 2016-17 swim campaign with a split in a trio at Bremen Tuesday night. The girls triangle had Bremen pile up 143 points to NorthWood’s 100 with Knox taking 77 points.

NorthWood’s lone event win came in the opening individual medley relay, where Megan Stankovich, Elle Jansen, Kate Jarvis and Haley Grove won with a time of 2:09.39. The same four were second in the closing 400 free relay at 4:15.14. Stankovich was second in the backstroke at 1:15.23 and Jarvis was runner-up in the 200 free at 2:19.20.

Jansen was second in the IM at 2:37.59 and also second in the butterfly at 1:16.05. Betsy Nunemaker and Sarah Eberle were 2nd and 3rd respectively in diving.

NorthWood’s girls are slated to swim Saturday at the Goshen Relays.
