Nadine KerrNadine Kerr, 76, of South Whitley, Ind., passed away at Miller’s Merry Manor in Columbia City, Ind., at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013.

She was born Nov. 22, 1936, in Floyd County, Ky., to John and Melvina (Howe) Keithley. She has been a Whitley County, Ind., resident since 1981 moving from Kentucky.  

She attended school in Kentucky. She worked at R.R. Donnelley, Warsaw; Taco Bell, Columbia City, Ind.; and a homemaker and housewife. She attended Free Will Baptist Church, Pierceton. Ind.

Survivors include her son: Bobby Bailey; and daughter: Judy (John) Garwood, both of South Whitley; a sister: Berniece Gilberson, Cadillac, Mich.; a brother: Franklin Keithley, Louisville, Ky; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Timmy) Branning, Joy Garwood-Hopkins, and John (Shawna) Garwood; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband: Robert Bailey; second husband: John Kerr; a daughter: Angie Robin; brothers: Ross and Russell Keithley; and a sister: Charlene Jones.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Ward Allen officiating. Burial will be at South Whitley Cemetery.  

Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Kerr to Cancer Services of N.E. Indiana or to Breast Cancer Awareness. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
