Sheila R. Hackworth, 53, Silver Lake, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, in her residence.

She was born Feb. 4, 1963 in Rush, Ky. to Tom and Betty (Reeves) Brainard Sr.  On July 14, 1984 she married David Hackworth.

Sheila was a law clerk at Gloyeski Law Office and had worked at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester for 25 years as a QMA and Transportation Coordinator. She loved her grandkids and to camp and ride motorcycles.

She is survived by her husband, David Hackworth, Silver Lake; mother, Betty Brainard, Liberty Mills; son, John (Brittany) Hackworth, South Whitley; daughter, Destinee (Brandon) McRaney, South Whitley; brother, Tom (Betty) Brainard, Sidney; sisters: Mary Hibbs, Liberty Mills; Anita (Michael) Gloyeski, North Manchester; Crystal (David) Dill, Liberty Mills; Kathy (Wayne) Green, Liberty Mills; and Rebecca Stinson, North Manchester; granddaughters, Zoie and Kloie McRaney.

One brother, Roy Dewayne Brainard, is deceased.

Family and friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley.
