WINONA LAKE – After the first weekend of the season, Erik Bowen of Grace College was honored as the NCCAA National Player of the Week.

Bowen led Grace to two victories last week at the Lancer Tipoff Classic. The junior forward was named the MVP of the tournament after averaging a double-double of 16.0 points and 10.5 rebounds along with 5.5 assists per game. Bowen shot 50 percent from the floor and was 12-of-14 from the foul line (86 percent).

Next up, the Lancers travel to No. 22 St. Xavier on Wednesday night.
