WARSAW — Downtown Warsaw held their annual Halloween Spooktakular last night, Oct. 28.
The downtown streets were lined with super heroes, monsters and princesses as children trick-or-treated from a variety of Warsaw businesses and organizations. A heavy crowd showed up almost immediately at 5 p.m. and didn’t slow until the costume contest came to an end around 8 p.m.
The costume contest was a big hit with many participants in each age group. The contest was separated into seven different age groups, category A, infant- 1 year old; category B, 2-3 years old; category C, 4-6 years old; category D, 7-9 years old; category E, 10-12 years old; and a group category, any age. Each group had three prizes for most original, cutest and scariest costumes.
The names of winners were not yet available.
Warsaw Community Development Corporation, Miller’s Senior Living Community, Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club, Kosciusko Cares, the Bowen Center, Warsaw Party & Rental and the Esther Pfleiderer Trust partnered together to sponsor this year’s event.
