NAPPANEE – The NorthWood girls basketball season opener versus defending state champion Penn has been changed.

The Panthers, who were slated to host Penn on Nov. 1, will entertain the Kingsmen on Nov. 5. Penn won the Class 4-A state title last season. The freshman game will begin at noon in the AC with the junior varsity game also a noon tip-off in the Panther Pit with the varsity contest to follow.

NorthWood will now open its 2016-17 season at South Bend Riley on Nov. 3. Penn will open its season at LaPorte, also on Nov. 3.
