Barbara A. Pentelow, 86, Plymouth, passed away at 6:55 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.

Barbara was born the daughter of Jesse and Esther (Wright) Menser on June 29, 1930 at Plymouth. She married Clyde J. Pentelow March 16, 1952 at Plymouth, he passed away June 22, 1997.

She was a resident of Plymouth all her life and was a faithful member of the First United Church of Christ where she was involved with the women’s groups of the church. In her spare time she enjoyed needle work, reading and jigsaw puzzles. In her earlier years she and her husband enjoyed traveling with their daughters for two week vacations all over the United States and then as they grew up and her husband passed away she would travel on bus trips to various locations. Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed her family. She will be greatly missed.

Barbara is survive by her two daughters: Jean (Larry) Mayer, Plymouth; and Gloria (Keith) Burnam, Plymouth. She was also blessed with three grandchildren: Nathan Mayer, Plymouth, Kyle (Jessica) Burnam, Holland, Mich.; Kimberly Burnam, Plymouth; and her sister Marjorie Kowaleski, Plymouth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Tracy Mayer, sister Emma Lou Bollenbacher, and three brothers: Bud, Harry and Howard Menser.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Van Gilder Funeral Home 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in New Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to First United Church of Christ 321 N. Center St, Plymouth, IN 46563 in her memory.
