NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester University had a handful of its women’s tennis players honored this past week by the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Junior Katy Ashpole, a Wawasee High School graduate, as well as junior Katie Peden, a graduate of Manchester High School, were both given Honorable Mention All-HCAC honors. Peden was also designated as the team’s Sportsmanship honoree.

Juniors Mariam Aly and Erin Cordill were named to the top unit in the conference. Aly earned her first conference honor going 6-4 on the season while Cordill picked up her third after a 9-3 campaign.

Manchester’s team went 6-7 overall and 5-3 in the conference this past season.
