Warsaw Football: Frosh Finish Strong

Warsaw SportsWARSAW – The Warsaw freshman football team closed its season with a big win Tuesday night.

The host Tigers rode a strong first-half performance in defeating Concord 37-12 in their final game of the season.

Warsaw led 30-6 at halftime en route to its fifth straight win to finish out the year.

Wyatt Amiss tossed a touchdown pass and also returned an interception for a score to lead the Tigers.

Jack Williamson had a touchdown reception and Johnny Feldman had 14 carries for 167 yards on the ground and a touchdown for the winners.

Jayton Brock had a fumble recovery for a defensive touchdown for the Tigers. Gage Lyon had a sack and a blocked punt and Brock Hueber two sacks for Warsaw.

The frosh Tigers finish the season 6-3 overall and 5-2 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
