Lutie Ellen Beatty  known by most simply as “Granny”, 87, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 11:26 a.m. at the Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital.

Beatty was born February 20, 1929 in Warsaw, to her father Artie Long and mother Florence (Ryan) Long. She was a lifetime resident of the Leesburg and Warsaw areas.

She worked at RR Donnelley for nearly 30 years; working first in the bindery and later as a security guard.

In addition, she was a longtime, faithful attendee of Leesburg Grace Brethren Church.

She is survived by her sister, Bertie Lentz, South Bend; two granddaughters, Heather Beatty, Warsaw, and Hillary Kammerer, Milford; grandson Branden Beatty, North Webster; four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Carolyn Hanna, Leesburg.
