Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

10:11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, Lake City Highway and Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Driver: L B. Bills, 52, Coffee Tree Lane, Columbia City. Bills hit a deer as he was traveling west bound on Lake City Highway. Damages up to $10,000.

7:11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, Fisher Avenue and Tiger Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Alysha R. Whisman, 18, South CR 50W, Claypool. Whisman was traveling south bound on Fisher Avenue approaching the intersection of at Tiger Lane. An unknown vehicle turned left off of Tiger Lane and collided with Whisman. Whisman lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a utility pole. The other vehicle fled the scene. Damages up to $25,000.
