Dorina ‘Dee Dee’ Evans — UPDATED

Dee Dee Evans, 72, Rochester was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 3:20 p.m.,Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016 at her residence.

In Evansville, Dorina Anne Ploch was born on July 17, 1944. She was the cherished daughter of Herbert and Ivita Reynolds Ploch. Growing up she shared her childhood with a sister and two brothers. Dee Dee graduated from Evansville’s Rex Mundi Catholic High School in 1962.

On June 8, 1985, in Rochester, Dee Dee married the love of her life Al Evans. Together they shared over 31 years of life’s adventures. Taking great joy in sharing adventures in life they bowled at Quick’s Lanes. Dee Dee was also a member of women’s league. The excitement of the casinos were great places to visit. Their favorites were the Majestic and Four Winds. At home Al and Dee Dee hosted family game nights; poker and bingo were at the top of the list. She was also a loyal and devoted member of Rochester’s Church of the Heartland.

Left to cherish Dee Dee’s memory are her beloved husband Al, at home; four daughters:  Vita Shambarger and companion Randy Shambarger, Debra Fernandez and husband Hector Jr.,  all of Rochester; Teresa Collins, Las Vegas; and Sandy Roberts and husband Mark of Plymouth; two sons:  Tony Collins and companion Tammy Hoppes , South Whitley; and Jason Evans and wife Katie of Westfield; a sister, Sharon Moss of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two brothers: Randy Ploch and wife Margaret, of Evansville; and Chuck Ploch and wife Nancy of Brazil; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

Pastor Jim Howard will officiate services. Burial will follow in Rochester’s IOOF Cemetery.
