A horse was killed early Saturday morning when it escaped a corral and entered a roadway.

Winona Lake Police responded to William Drive and CR 225 South at 3:50 a.m. Oct. 6 where a 2008 Chrysler passenger car, driven by Ryan Price, of Warsaw, collided with a horse. The horse died on impact.

WLPD says Price was eastbound on CR 225 South when the horse ran into the road. The property owners were unaware the horse had escaped.
