NorthWood Sports Wrap: Sept. 22
Girls Soccer
The NorthWood girls soccer team rolled to a 7-0 win over Bremen.
The trio of Brittani Shields, Betsy Nunemaker and Savannah Feenstra each scored two goals to lead the host Panthers to the non-conference win.
NorthWood, which had a 4-0 halftime lead in the match, also got a goal from Makenzie Bergman.
The trio of Cassie Yoder, Kati Parisi and Avery Bontrager each had an assists for the winners.
NorthWood had a 22-3 edge in shots. Panther goalie Kira Robinson had three saves.
The Panthers improve to 5-5-2, while Bremen drops to 3-9.
Volleyball
The NorthWood volleyball team put together a huge rally before a tough 3-2 loss at Northridge.
The host Raiders prevailed 26-24, 25-15, 26-28, 23-25, 16-14 in the Northern Lakes Conference tussle.
Kennedy Wiens slammed down 16 kills and Haylee Pennington had 14 to pace the Panthers.
Courtney Lengacher had two aces and 40 assists for NorthWood. Whitney Gessinger totaled 28 digs and Taitlyn Trenshaw 25, while Pennington had five blocks and Alexis Klotz four.
