NorthWood Golf: Panthers Pick Up Pair Of Wins
GRANGER – The NorthWood girls golf team tuned up for postseason play with another win Wednesday.
The Panthers, led by MacKenzie Weaver, topped host Penn and LaPorte in a triangular as the Knollwood Country Club.
Weaver shot a 40 on the par 36 East Back layout to earn medalist honors in the match. NorthWood shot 174 as a team, while Penn came in at 185 and LaPorte at 193.
Summer Stillson had a 42 for NorthWood, which improves to 11-0 on the season. The duo of Abby Slabaugh and Madison Richner each had a 46 and Alaina Benjamin a 49 for the Panthers.
Andi Sandler led Penn with a 42. Emily Wilmson topped LaPorte with a 44.
The NorthWood junior varsity team shot a 208 in their match. Hope Cripe of the Panthers was the JV medalist with a 47.
NorthWood will compete in the Warsaw Sectional on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. at the Stonehenge Golf Club.
