George Slaidins, 73, passed away at 7:38 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at University Park Health and Rehabilitation Center, Fort Wayne.

He was born on Oct. 27, 1942, in Riga, Lativia, to Elza and Zoldamairs Slaidins. George worked for a carnival throughout his lifetime.

He leaves behind two daughters: Jennifer (Danny) Grim, Kalamazoo, Mich.; Lisa (Todd) Delgoado, Glenville, Ga.; and seven grandchildren.

No visitation or services are planned.  Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
